The carrot is cleaned and washed, then cut into slices. Onions are cleaned, washed and finely chopped. Heat the oil in a saucepan, then add the carrot, sauté it for 2-3 minutes on low heat and then add the chopped onion. I added dehydrated onions and filled with 1/2 cup cold water.

I let the dried onion swell at the right heat and bind the onion sauce. I drained the beans from the two cans, I added them to the pan together with the mix of peppercorns, bay leaf, a little dried rosemary, salt and pepper to taste. I put 1/2 cup of water, I let the water drop and at the end I added the mashed tomatoes, which I also left on the right heat until the sauce was bound.

I stopped the fire, sprinkled green celery and served. Good appetite!

Eating, eating beans

Bean stew, also called food or bean meal, is one of the most popular foods in Romania. Fasting or sweet, simple or with fresh or smoked ciolan, sausages, ham and other such crap, bean stew is a great food.

I'll tell you how I cook this recipe, which is on the table of the rich and the poor alike.

Baked beans

1. Clean the beans, wash them, put them in a bowl of cold water and let them soak overnight. Rinse with cold water and bring to a boil in a bowl of water, which should exceed the level of beans with 2-3 fingers.

2. Boil covered, over medium heat, for about an hour. Whoever wants can change the water again after the first boils. Add the carrots, large onions and celery, all cut into quarters and continue to boil until all the beans are well softened.

3. Separately, in a saucepan with a thicker bottom, fry the small, finely chopped onion in oil. Add a pinch of salt, then quench with half a glass of bean soup and simmer until softened. Add the boiled beans, peppercorns, bay leaf and tomato paste dissolved in half a cup of bean soup. Boil over low heat until the sauce is reduced and season with salt, pepper and greens.

Monastic preparations, directly from the monks' cells. Two POST recipes with a perfect taste

Monastic preparations, directly from the monks' cells. Two POST recipes with a perfect taste. It is no longer a secret that the best dishes for Lent are made by monks, and if you have ever been to a monastery you know that the taste of Lent or soups made there has a special taste.

Beyond the classic explanation that they are made with a lot of love, with a lot of soul, there are some secrets that you can apply in the preparation of certain monastic recipes. We offer you two of the tastiest recipes, which you can try throughout Lent.

Fasting sarmale

For this recipe you need sauerkraut, about 450 grams of mushrooms, 150 grams of rice, 300 milliliters of tomato juice, 5 tablespoons of tomato paste, 3 bay leaves, a bunch of finely chopped parsley, a teaspoon dried thyme, a slice of celery, a large carrot, a large finely chopped onion, oregano, salt and pepper to taste.

Saute the onion until it gets a glassy appearance, and then add the carrot and sauté it with the onion for a minute. Add the mushrooms over this mixture. Then add the rice and tomato sauce. It is preferable to wrap the sarmales in small to medium sheets because this way the taste will be better preserved.

Fasting beans

Monastic preparations, directly from the monks' cells. For the stew recipe you need: 400 grams of beans, 5 red onions, 3 cloves of garlic, two bay leaves, sweet and hot paprika mixed, 4 tablespoons of tomato paste, 3 tablespoons of oil and thyme. The recipe is relatively simple to prepare. Choose the beans well and wash it in more water, before you boil it.

Re: Fast bean stew

it doesn't feel like that, but it seems to me that I have to put it because the BBQ sauce is a little sweet. so garlic and lemon juice "soften" it a bit.

Re: Fast bean stew

I don't know what this is like but I just finished the bean stew with ribs according to your recipe, and I want to tell you that I've never had such a bad stew in my life, not even when I first started cooking, it's like soup of thyme with thyme, besides I spent a whole day with it now I can throw it away, it really looks great in the picture but the result is a disaster, I throw a pot of garbage, congratulations. It's my mistake, I had to cook according to my own recipe, so far, what culinary wonders for people? and also put vegetables in dishes not only onions and garlic.

Re: Fast bean stew

What ingredients can be added instead of HEINZ BBQ sauce? I would like to make it as natural but tasty as possible. greeting cards for recipes

Ioana 6 years ago - November 24, 2011 11:04

Re: Fast bean stew

a tomato sauce but a very fragrant one, something homemade. bbq sauce, is very fragrant, viscous (it will give the consistency of iehnia) and has a slight smoky taste (at least that from heinz) which makes the iahnia look like it is made with smoked. it is quite difficult to replace.

you can make this bean stew: [link] without ciolan

Re: Fast bean stew

Yes, unfortunately BBQ sauces (generally, I write from Canada) are a bit unhealthy. The list of ingredients is about Mendeleev's table and has a lot of sugar. The homemade one comes first, but there are also simple tomato preserves, to which you can add basil and other spices.
The smoky aroma of commercial sauces is obtained chemically, not by any smoking process.

Re: Fast bean stew

I did. I liked it Instead of heinz sauce I used a natural Italian tomato sauce. I put the lemon juice and I didn't understand why it tastes sour..only after reading the comments I realized but I had already trained it with some smoked Hungarian sausages..so now it's very good.
Thank you very much for the recipes ... everything I made from you turned out excellent!

Re: Fast bean stew

Hi, Ioana, I made this bean, but it didn't work out for me, as you say, first of all, I put the onion in the hot oil and it didn't soften where I'm wrong?

Ioana 3 years ago - 16 November 2014 16:10

Re: Fast bean stew

put the chopped onion in the hot oil, turn the heat to low and let it cook, stirring occasionally, for at least 5 minutes. during this time the onion will soften. if you have patience, you can leave it for 10 minutes, just make sure the fire is very low so you don't burn it.

Re: Fast bean stew - with beer?

I lit the fire, ready to throw the ingredients in the pot. But on the side with BBQ sauce, or beer, I have a perplexity. I don't want to put sauce, but beer. I've never used sauce, and I don't know how much beer to put. A cup is OK? Or is the beer put in the glass when it is served?

Ioana 2 years ago - 17 February 2015 19:55

Re: Fast bean stew

you can put 1 cup of beer (200-250 ml) instead of water. but you have to put some sauce, otherwise just boil the beans in the beer. does not go without. at least some canned crushed tomatoes if you have them at hand.

Re: Fast bean stew

"add water" how much water ?, chew the beans or let it boil like rice?

Ioana 2 years ago - 6 July 2015 09:33

Re: Fast bean stew

write "water as it enters the sauce bottle", ie 250 ml. just put water in the bottle to "wash" all the sauce left on the walls.

Re: Fast bean stew

I am not a fan of commercial sauces, they have many additives, but I made the recipe with homemade tomato sauce and it tasted very good. It went perfectly with raw stew boiled with spices in a pressure cooker (40 minutes), then in the oven for 20 minutes. at high temperature (in a cast iron skillet with four tablespoons of water in which the ciolan boiled).

Bean stew (fasting recipe)

Because Christmas Lent is approaching, I thought I'd tell you a bean stew recipe, which I used to make quite often. Even if it doesn't have meat (although it goes great with ciolan or fried sausages), it is very tasty and healthy.

White beans also help you a lot when you want to lose weight, because they provide you with fiber, protein and minerals, and contain few calories. Beans contain iron, and are recommended for pregnant women or those who want to become mothers, because it is rich in folic acid. At the same time, it contains antioxidants and prevents aging.

In addition to all these benefits, beans are a good detoxifier and, with little sport, help eliminate fat deposits, starting with abdominal fat.

This recipe is ideal when you want to lose weight, fast or simply eat something good and healthy. For the ingredients, I went to the market, not the supermarket, because in the market I found new beans, which boil quickly, and fresh vegetables from the peasants.

  • 500 g beans, dried
  • a big onion
  • a big carrot
  • half a capsicum or fat pepper
  • a little hot pepper
  • celery (a small one or a quarter of a large one)
  • 200 ml mashed tomatoes or broth
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • a little thyme
  • paprika, salt and pepper
  • parsley and celery leaves (or even dill, if you like)

Put the beans in cold water in the evening, or at least a few hours before cooking, because this way it boils more easily. Then boil the beans in boiling water with 2 bay leaves and salt. If you like, you can also put vegeta, about halfway through the cooking time. The beans will be boiled depending on how new or old they are. If it's been a few years, it can boil for 3 hours. It took me an hour or so to cook.

While it is boiling, cut the onion into scales, the pepper & # 8211 into small cubes, and the carrot and celery are put on the small grater.

About half an hour before the beans are cooked (take another bean and see how hard it is), put, in a saucepan with a larger bottom, hot olive oil. Then add the onion and, when it is glassy, add the pepper, carrot and celery, stirring occasionally, to harden them all.

Then add a teaspoon of paprika, mix a little more and pour about 2 cups of water. Drain the beans and add to the pan with the vegetables. Then put the mashed tomatoes, a little thyme and let it boil for another 15, 20 minutes, stirring from time to time.

At the end, after it has dropped, add pepper and, if necessary, salt, add the chopped parsley and celery leaves or dill and, after you turn off the heat and stop boiling the crushed garlic cloves.

It can be served with cabbage salad or lettuce, pickles or anything you like.

How to make dry bean stew

Dried beans it will be washed under a stream of cold water (to remove dust), then soaked in the evening only in cold water or a few hours (1-2 hours) if time presses us and we want a meal in a short time.

After the time allotted for soaking and in the absence of a pressure cooker, fasoalea boabe it will be boiled normally in boiling water in a pot, this being changed twice.

At the amount used for this recipe, the beans (1/2 kg) will continue to boil in 3 l of boiling water (not in cold water, because the grain will harden), about 60 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a Teflon pan where it warmed up oil will be put to quality for 1-2 minutes onion cleaned and finely chopped, carrot given on the big grater, bell pepper cut into thin strips, paprika, stirring constantly (so as not to burn).

Separately, in a bowl will unfold broth paste with water, to be added over the onion, along with tomatoes from the chopped box, letting it boil for two (to form a sauce, it can possibly be added from the water in which the beans were boiled), adding during boiling bay leaf, sugar / honey (to cut the acidity of tomatoes), salt and pepper to taste.

a vas JENA rotund will be poured beans combined with onion and sauce formed (with fried bacon-optional), added dried thyme and put the dish in the preheated oven at 190 degrees for about 20 minutes.

Careful: so as not to come out a dry bean stew, from time to time the oven will open and add from the water in which the beans boiled the beans.

Finally, in the bean stew will be added apple cider vinegar , mixing gently with a spatula or can be added when serving in the individual plate, to complete a sweet-sour taste and bean aroma Bake in the oven.

Baked beans

If there is a food that is always required, what can I do if it is a holiday or not, this is the bean stew. It has always been requested in family meals, especially with ciolan or sausages. My mother used to prepare it simply for the most hours in the day and we eat it with pickles and fresh homemade bread. It's a treat!

Bean stew is a traditional food that is very easy to prepare and in whose composition do not forget the bay leaves. I give it a taste and an extraordinary weapon.

You can prepare it as I wrote in the simple version or with ciolan. If you prepare it with a whisk, boil the meat and then boil the beans in the water in which the meat was boiled, it will have a very good taste! But let's see the recipe:

Baked beans

  • approx. 700 gr dried beans
  • 1 small carrot (optional)
  • 2 onions
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon paprika or pepper paste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 250 ml broth or mashed tomatoes
  • salt, pepper, thyme, basil
  • oil

Let the beans soak in cold water overnight, strain and boil in another cold water and after 2-3 boils change the water. Add the bay leaves, carrots, salt, and simmer (if the water drops, top up with warm water).

After it is cooked, strain the beans.

As I wrote if you do it with ciolan, first boil the ciolan, then in the water in which the meat was boiled, boil the beans.

Finely chop the onion and garlic, cut the carrot into pieces (you can throw it away, but I'm sorry so I use it). Cook the onion with the garlic until it becomes glassy then add the carrot, pepper paste or paprika. Stir a little more and add the broth or mashed tomatoes. If you want the sauce to come out thicker, you can also add a tablespoon of flour.

Mix well and add the beans then bring to a boil.

Add a little thyme and dried basil.

It is usually served with fried sausages or smoked pork chops and pickles.

The bone is deboned and cut into pieces and then served with beans or fried a little before.

Bean preparation. The well-washed beans are boiled in 2-3 waters to remove from the substances harmful to digestion. Then bring to a boil in plenty of water. Add a cleaned onion and leave it whole, but stick 3 cloves in it. Add a cleaned carrot, garnish bouquet made of a small piece of leek, cut crosswise and then tied with a few parsley leaves and 2 bay leaves.

A tablespoon of lard is mixed with 2-3 cloves of crushed garlic and added to the bean bowl for extra flavor and grease.

Preparation of onion and meat sauce. Cut the pork into smaller pieces and fry in melted lard. Allow to penetrate well. Then drain the fat and add finely chopped onion and bacon cut into small cubes. Stir until the onion changes color. Then add the bean soup, paprika and tomato paste and let it boil to blend well.

Place the sausages in the oven with a little fat and a little water and leave until well browned. After the beans are well cooked, drain and transfer to a heat-resistant dish in which you add the sausages and the onion sauce with the meat. Put the dish with bean stew with pork in the oven for 10-15 minutes, then it can be served with homemade bread, brown and tasty.
