RECIPE PREPARATION Something sweet and fast:

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar, then add the flour and beat well. Add the baking powder and then add about 1 tablespoon of cocoa. The homogeneous composition must be slightly thick from the flour.

GLUTEN-FREE CHOCOLATE BANANA MUG CAKE - Recipe for 2 servings: Pass a baked banana in a cup, then add 4 tablespoons peanut butter, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons sugar and 3 tablespoons cocoa and mix well until homogenize. From this dough we will obviously bake in the microwave two cakes that we will decorate with banana slices. It is recommended that these cakes be consumed immediately, otherwise they will dry out.

3. RED VELVET MUG CAKE - Recipe for 1 serving: Mix in a cup 3 tablespoons oil with three tablespoons of whipped milk, 1 egg together with a teaspoon of vanilla essence, a little red dye and then add 4 tablespoons of flour, 4 tablespoons and a half of sugar, a little baking powder, a tablespoon and a half of cocoa a pinch of salt and a pinch of cinnamon. APPLE CRUMBLE MUG CAKE - Recipe for 1 serving: To get the dough needed for this cake we need half a tablespoon of oil, half a tablespoon of milk, 1 tablespoon of apple sauce, a tablespoon of brown sugar, half of teaspoon of cinnamon, a little baking powder, vanilla essence that we will mix until smooth and then add three tablespoons of flour and mix well. Pour the mixture into a cup and add a tablespoon of butter mixed with two tablespoons of flour and a tablespoon of brown sugar. This cake is served garnished with a cup of ice cream over which we put caramel sauce.

5. RAINBOW MUG CAKE - Recipe for 4 servings: For this multicolored cake we need 100g white sugar, 100g butter at room temperature, 2 eggs, vanilla essence, a little baking powder and baking soda, a knife tip salt, 11 g flour & # 8211 all we will mix and mix very well. There is traditionally, in the peasant cuisine of the Romanians, a sweet baking made of corn that is eaten with yogurt. In the interwar period there was also a royal pudding, made of corn, eggs and butter. But I wanted something more. More refined and closer to our times.

This is how the present dessert appeared, which I baptized & # 8211 in the spirit of the place where it was born & # 8211 Something sweet. A creamy dessert, based on poppy corn, flavored with citrus and served with caramelized orange, in which the color of the poppy contrasts with that of the corn, just as the temperature of the dessert is upset by that of the hot sauce.

Preparation time: 45 minutes (plus 2 hours in the fridge)


  • 400 ml milk (plus 5 tablespoons)
  • 50 gr of browned corn
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
  • 20 gr butter fat (+10 gr butter for greasing ramekin dishes)
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1 sachet of vanilla sugar
  • the peel of a lemon
  • peel from an orange

for caramel syrup

  1. Put the 400 ml of milk to boil & # 8211 on low heat & # 8211 together with the 2.5 tablespoons of sugar, the 20 gr of butter, the vanilla sugar, the lemon peel and the orange peel.
  2. Before the milk boils, heat the oven to medium temperature (160 degrees Celsius).
  3. When the milk starts to boil, incorporate the cornstarch with a fork. Boil the mixture for a few minutes on low heat, stirring constantly, until you get a cream with the consistency of a soft polenta.
  4. Set aside the polenta and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
  5. Put the two tablespoons of poppy seeds in another saucepan together with the 4-5 teaspoons of milk and boil the poppy seeds over low heat, stirring constantly, until the milk evaporates. Pull the pan with the poppy seeds aside and let it cool.
  6. Grease four ramekin forms with butter and powder them with sugar granules. If you do not have ramekin molds, use four heat-resistant cups or disposable aluminum molds.
  7. Mix the polenta with the poppy seeds with a fork and incorporate the yolks one by one.
  8. Fill the 4 forms with the cream obtained.
  9. Put the molds in a heat-resistant tray that you fill with water up to half the molds.
  10. Put the oven tray at 160 degrees & # 8211 for 20 minutes.
  11. Remove the molds from the oven and & # 8211 after cooling for 30 minutes & # 8211 refrigerate for at least 90 minutes.
  1. Cut into thick slices about 1 inch thick, a medium-sized orange.
  2. Brown the orange slices on both sides in a little butter. Take them out and set them aside.
  3. In the same pan, melt in a little butter & # 8211 a teaspoon & # 8211 the 100 grams of sugar until caramelized.
  4. Extinguish the caramel with the sweet cream and mix until it binds in a caramel syrup.

To serve, separate the edges of the dessert from those of the shape in which it was baked with a knife and gently turn it over in the middle of the serving plate. Decorate the dessert with caramel sauce and a slice of orange.
